"Night Ops South China Sea"

Post by (A/229) BBall on Wed 4 Mar 2015 - 3:55

Hey guys,

As promised (in Nef's thread about the Tomcat), here's an article that my good friend USN Cmdr (ret.) Lloyd "Bozo" Abel posted over at Frugalsworld several years ago. Bozo flew most of the F-14 flying in the movie "Top Gun", and we shared a cockpit many times during his time with the airline (he recently retired). Sadly...he never penned Part 2, but (as promised to Nef) I will endevor to get him to drop by and give us his thoughts about the Tomcat, and (hopefully) provide us with Part 2...

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

(and MY FAVORITE....a yarn about his first combat mission over N. Vietnam.... http://web.archive.org/web/20030224121006/http://frugalsworld.com/logbooks/bozos-log.shtml ).
