For the briefing, Xtra mentioned that having Teamviewer installed would be an advantage.

Small programme, free for personal use...

Get it here...http://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/windows/

As far as I can tell, I'm the only 229th person signed up for the training with 132nd tomorrow (Wednesday)... anyone else planning to be there?

Looks like we may be short a pilot or 2.

Is there any one available who would like to fly a slick with us in this multi flight event?

To assist in the ATC comms bit, following on from Xtra's input the other night and in conjunction with 132nd's ATC guide on their way of doing things here's a couple of png's for your kneeboard to keep anyone right no matter what role you may end up with LOL

If not sure what to do with them, just shout.

No doubt Xtra will shout at me if they are wrong....

I doubt I will make training, I have my Son home ATM and have to take him to ATC at 20.00 which is why I have not signed up. If I can get there on time I will but it looks undoable Sad

Nice promts Gizzy

Enjoy Cib...

Just to clarify, it's the main event on Sunday that we may be short on pilots...

Remember you only have to hail the other party during your initial contact, all transmissions thereafter you just send your request with callsign.
Also start-up and taxi might be done on a ground freq and when holding short you switch to tower.

Im terribly sorry guys. Today I (or we) found out there will be a little Xtra joining this world in 7,5-8 months. Right now we are planning to head up North to tell our parents in person, so Im struggling a bit to get the flight schedule set between the rest.

Congrats mate!

...I became an Uncle for the 7th time yesterday; all the fun, none of the responsibility. Perfect.

Don't worry about us and the mission - if they don't understand our comms, we will just shout even more loudly and slowly. Usually works.

For 1800z today... Evil - looks like just you and me unless someone jumps in.  It's a full dress rehearsal...

Put these in your kneeboard folder.

I'll take LEAD, I'm well used to Charlie Foxtrots LOL.... unless you want it of course...

Not sure I understand the reason for the sarcasm but there you go... everyone to their own I suppose...

Stuff above was just bits relative to our invited role not the complete picture.

In many aspects I am out of my depth in the procedures and comms of 132nd simulated RL environment but certainly the Wing have gone out of their way to be friendly and hospitable.

Sure there are some parts I do not like but there many that I do, especially the  experience of a  realistic simulation with multi airframes, JTAC & CAS in a serious but friendly atmosphere although probably more serious than what you alluded to in April ..
(A/229) Ritt wrote:...plenty of experience to run JTAC type roles. I'm a Marine officer and have had a fair bit of emergency CAS training, as well as some JTAC training. Would love to help out as a ground commander/JTAC for any missions ....

Best wishes...

Didn't mean to come off snarky. I am sincerely upset I can't attend. It looks like an absolutely awesome Op with an awesome test of procedures and flight interactions with others.

I updated the commscard with internal freqs. Just download the version just before the mission will start, maybe me or Reznik will make some changes to it so just wait with printing.

Post by (D/229) Xtra on Sat 4 Jun 2016 - 7:29

There was a bit of mix up with freqs.
Flow will go as follows:
At Sukhumi
VHF: Suk GND thereafter TWR
UHF: bandit int 246.750
FM: 39.8

Enroute
VHF: FARP Perth
UHF: Darkstar AWACS 229.000
FM: 39.8

AO
VHF: Hitman 120.250
UHF: Bandit internal 246.750
FM: 39.8

The FM will only be used by the flight leads to pass codewords or orders. UHF will be for all UH1 elements.
VHF will be for FL use.
In case people miss a push call the FM can be used to get them back on track but use this as a last resort and keep comms minimal.

Reznik will update the commsplan in the commschatter aswell.

Tiger and Bandit flights, if you load troops, please load an Anti-air one as that will contain some MANPADS we can control. So NOT a standard group but an Anti-Air group of infantry.
