I have a few questions...

Do you have a release date yet?

Will it have a realistic FM?

Will the engine temp be modeled?

Are you planning on having multi crew?

Can't wait to fly it...Take my money.

More painting this week.  Tail number is allegedly Bruce Crandall's legendary Huey, but no one seems to know/remember for sure.

Stenciling a surface with rivets is a pain in the ass:

Came out okay though, I think:

Love the detail. For example, seeing the turbine through the engine cowling cooling vents. Very cool.

Heh. If you were to actually look through those vents, you'd see the 3 swashplate servos and a rats-nest of wiring. Embarassed

Been a while since I've updated.  Been a busy summer.  Project is just about done, but it's been a long haul.  If you're paying attention, you'll see I've tried to model this Huey after Bruce Crandall's ship, Ancient Serpent 6, of the Battle of Ia Drang fame.  Apologies for the potato quality of some of the photos -- the lighting is less than ideal and trying to get decent pics through the Lexan windshield in direct sunlight is challenging. I'll post some flight pics and video soon.

Short video and pics from yesterday. She's pretty heavy, just under 20lbs/9kg and a bit of handful low and slow in the wind.

Very nice. Great result from all your hard work. Your landing from a hover look like mine. Very Happy

Yeah.  I've definitely had better landings.  Embarassed  (In my defense, the cyclic is still pretty touchy and needs to be dampened bit more)
