Red V Blue mission

Post by (B/229) Flick on Mon 10 Apr 2017 - 10:43

Hi Chaps.

I have been working on a mission that I hope you will enjoy.
Within the limits of the DCS Mission Editor, MIST, CSAR & CTLD I have created a Blue V Red scenario.

Blues (USA) try to fight their way through Mozdok and take Mozdok airfield.
The Red forces are tasked with defence and counter attack.
Warehouses are available and those with DCS Combined Arms can manoeuvre ground forces.

The preliminary runs of this mission have proved to be very enjoyable (thanks to JB, PD and Stik).
If there is enough interest in running this, with volunteers to fly for the commies, I would be grateful if you could let me know when you would be available.

I based it on a populated map I downloaded from  VIPRIL.
You can download the mod from HERE
There is also the scimitar light tank MOD in the mission.
Scimitar Tank MOD

cheers

I'll be up 4 it but would need an appropriate scenario and intelligence brief and MOD list..

Most people are on on Thursday evenings so I would like to run it on 13th or 20th April. 13th preferred.

Blue side to attack and sieze Mozdok airbase.
Push North across the bridge over the Tarek river at Kalininskiy and fight through Mozdok city and eventually to the airbase.  Be sure to sweep & keep Kalininskiy clear of red forces.
Use combined arms to control ground forces and use the warehouse system in place to deploy FOBs and armour via Helicopters.
The Red forces are tasked with defence and counter attack.
Warehouses are available and those with DCS Combined Arms can manoeuvre ground forces.

Red Forces can only win if they have troops in Kalininskiy and the bridge over the Tarek river is intact
Mods:
229th objects
Scimitar Tank MOD
Virpil Airfield equipment .

Both sides have Huey’s  KA-50s &  A10Cs

I'll happily fly Red team if you need. Actually, Flick if you'll be online before Thursday and need a tester for any of your missions, I'm up for as I'm on holiday for a couple of weeks.

I'll fly the 50 for whichever side you need a blackshark pilot on. I do not consider myself red or blue. I consider myself a mercanary Smile. Schedule is packed tomorrow unfortunately but I'll give it a run in the evening if it's still up. Cheers.

Will do my utmost to be on for 8pm but may have to drop in late due to unforseen circumstances. Going to get all the mods d/loaded now so I'm good to go. Why does everything gave to coincide on mission night???

I will definitely be there just late. Sorry. I forgot we'd made plans for early evening. I hate letting people down especially after all the hard work. I have installed all recommended mods.
