Picked up Mi8 and Combined Arms -

Post by (D/229) Flubber on Sun 16 Apr 2017 - 0:29

Decided to shell out some beer money on the Mi8 and Combined Arms.

It was a tough choice, but I thought I'd stick to helicopters this time around. I hope I made a good choice!

Any Mi8 experts that can do training?

Basic control seems easy enough. Managed landing on both the frigates first go. Will need a few goes at startup to remember the sequences. Rolling landings and takeoffs are a novelty.

I thought about getting the same 2 modules. Is combined arms even worth it, even at the discount, unless I would specifically want to fill a JTAC role?

This is a checklist and other documents I put together made from the US army manual for the MI8/MI17. The start-up is different, longer and actually integrates the system test. I wouldn't recommend it ever time. But it includes a lot of stuff that Belsimtec left out.

Cheers. I'll open it on my PC tomorrow.

Just had my first pass through the manual. Absorbed about 5%...
