Dabomb, Thanks for sharing . Remember as a kid getting an aviation warfare technology book with the Cheyenne on the cover and Wonder in what the hell it was. I knew hurts and cobras and bell47s, Hughes 500s and jetrangers, but what was this hideous beast, it was so ugly it was appealing.
I found more pictures inside and memorised the Lockheed Cheyenne along with all the other 'nbed to know' visual recognition aircraft in my mk1 know-it-all super-brain...
I was intrigued by the Pusher prop and the huge bulbous glass house canopy, what were they growing in there?
I never came across any other information on it. Never mind the internet, back then computers were only in the Apollo craft.
I never knew or gave any thought about the rotor system or the speed accomplishments, or the rotating gunners turret
Not to mention all the cutting edge systems being developed to allow weapons depliyment/ enemy engagement. But I was just a kid and now I knew what it was called! Instant expert. (So I thought) fast forward 40~ish years... I'm a sudden dunce.

Interesting history vid gunfighter, but the whole time I was watching it I was waiting for this....
