Thats about what I did with my stick! Gonna take a hint from this as well, and bolt mine to an anchor point instead of a moveable tray though..

That's what I did using a sheet of mdf and some screws pedals are firmly screwed down base of stick screwed to mdf to and an extension from floor up works like a charm.

http://s1126.photobucket.com/user/Killhooly/slideshow/SIMPITThis is my pit, its a men only, girl free zone, and il be moving my bar fridge in soon. The pit cost me $640 Aus from http://www.simparts.co.nz/ and took only two days to get to me. Im happy with the set up and believe that i wouldn't be able to make that thing for the price i bought it for.

Here's my home built mess!

The good news is though that there is a kit coming for the Vision Racer VR3 in the background for flight gear soon Smile

Still banging away on mine. Here's a shot under the hood. I'm moving my pedal pivot base to accomodate a Bell 47 cyclic that sticks through the floor. Wish there were a few more hours in the day!

The pedals were from an old 205. They don't look too hard to make. If you're handy in that department I can provide the measurements of the pedals.

There's a lot of actual Huey stuff on eBay but exporting it from the U.S. is a very complex procedure. However I've seen items from Italy, the U.K., Spain and other places listed from time to time. Complete cyclics have sold for $200-300, collectives from $450+ and pedals from about $300. Even seat armor for $90! I did get a Bell 47 cyclic on eBay for $50 which I thought was a better deal than making my own.

I've been a Huey fan since I was about 12 and when I discovered people were building helicopter sims, off I went. Building the seat and base for it cost about $50 in plywood, screws and paint. Everything else is slowly adding up to a bit more though. Shocked

Here are some cockpit measurements I did last year from a commercially operated 205 if anyone's interested. I'm trying to work on a floor plan of the cockpit but don't know how I'd present the info from my awful sketch. I also have the distances all the controls travel.
